Twenty years as a Forensic Investigator taught me the value of humor, when not within hearing or sight of the public. Witnessing horror on a daily basis made one a cynic but also made one adept at finding the humor in grave situations. The funniest people I met were Funeral Directors, when not with the bereaved families. They knew more jokes than salesmen.
