The social contract that holds this country together is fraying at the edges and has been in the greatest danger of tearing apart since the Civil War.
In Biblical times, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse were disease, famine, war, and death. To some scholars, they foretold a cosmic catastrophe, the End Times.
The modern gang of four is greed, fear, apathy, and stupidity, bringing about the end of democracy and a livable world. History teaches us that disaster soon follows when people allow greed and fear to govern them, with apathy, anxiety, and stupidity dictating their voting patterns.
There is a mounting rage in this country, with increasing numbers of road rage incidents and the mindless killing of innocents. Fanning the flames of this rage is fear that the White male society is losing its position of dominance and, led by shameless political hacks, point to anyone who is not White and not male to blame.
