My problem is I read writers from the Golden Age of Mystery, and my writing ends up like someone from the 1930’s wrote it. I can write great Sherlock Holmes stories. Sounds like old Arthur Conan Doyle at the typewriter. One literary agent told me my stories are not mainstream enough. Too old fashioned.
