I guess my biggest problem is constantly watching what I say. I’m afraid I’m a bit old fashioned in some of my speech. For example, when I was younger, I was called The Mc, or the Irishman, or even Patty, because my grandparents were from Ireland. I never took any of that as an insult, because I was proud of being Irish.

Other nationalities are apparently more sensitive to their ethnicity, as I referred to a man from Sweden as The Swede and was promptly reprimanded. Not by the man himself, but by the group leader of the workshop we were attending.

The use of the F-bomb by candidates for high office in America is an example of the current lack of civility in our leaders.
