I agree and I'm constantly fighting my Grammarly for prose that has some bounce and style.

Writers should embrace merism as a useful rhetorical device for the style and bounce it can give their prose. It is as simple as beginning a speech with ‘Ladies and Gentlemen’, instead of ‘Hello.’
